Brandon Lee

Brandon Bruce Lee was born February 1, 1965 in Oakland, California to the legendary Bruce Lee and his wife Linda. At a very early age, Bruce started to teach Brandon martial arts. When his father died at the early age of 32, Brandon, his mother, and sister moved to Los Angeles. Brandon always wanted to be an actor and pursued it from a very young age. It's all he ever wanted to do. Brandon wanted to be known for his acting ability instead of who his father was. After taking high school drama classes, Brandon Left to attend acting classes with Lee Strasberg, later going on to study acting at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. He later joined Eric Morris' American New Theater company in New York City and followed the company's relocation to Los Angeles and appeared in their production of Full Fed Beast for playwright John Lee Hancock. Brandon later returned to training at the Inosanto Academy of Martial Arts in Marina Del Rey, California, which was run by two of Bruce Lee's former students and instructors, Danny Inosanto and Ted Wong. His first professional acting job came at the age of 20 when he appeared in the CBS television film Kung Fu: The Movie in 1986. He played the long lost and revengeful son of David Carradine's character Caine. Brandon landed a major starring role, that of Jake Lo in Rapid Fire. Brandon also helped work on Rapid Fire's fight choreography. Then in 1993, Brandon took the role of Eric Draven in the movie "The Crow". Sadly on March 31, Brandon Lee was killed while shooting the flashback scene in which he walks into the room and discovers Shelly is being attacked. Funboy (Michael Massee) was to shoot Eric as he walked into the room. The gun he was supposed to be using was loaded with "blanks". Eric walked in and was shot as scripted. However, a bullet penetrated Brandon's abdomen and lodged next to his vertebrae (had he lived there was a good chance he may have been paralysed). Brandon was rushed to hospital where he died 13 hours later after attempts to stop the bleeding with surgery failed. Brandon Lee was to be married to his fiancee Eliza Hutton on April 17th.
